WILLIAMSVILLE, Ill. - Leading by 24 points entering the fourth quarter didn't stop
Williamsville (Ill.) from scoring, as it added 14 points in the final quarter on the way to a 45-7 victory over Unity (Tolono, Ill.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Jacob Lounsberry in the second quarter, the Bullets led 21-7 at the half.
Williamsville grew its lead to 24 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a field goal by
Tyler Nichols.
The loss snapped Unity's four-game winning streak.
Unity's only touchdown came on a 68-yard run in the first quarter.
The Bullets went into the matchup giving up only 6.8 points per game. The Rockets came in giving up 16.5 points per game this season. Unity struggled against Williamsville's offense, which entered the game scoring 44.2 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Unity, which notched a 27-13 victory over St. Teresa in its previous outing.
