Volleyball Recap: Hickory Grove Christian Comes Up Short at Home Against Northpoint Christian Academy

Hickory Grove Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the NorthPoint Christian Academy NightHawks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Hickory Grove Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-5.

NorthPoint Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Leah Mauro, who had 13 digs and three aces.

The win got NorthPoint Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.

Hickory Grove Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against High Point Christian Academy on the 15th. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against HOPE Academy on the 21st.
