Baseball Recap: Richland Comes Up Short

Richland and West Shamokin squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Richland had to settle for second. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves.

Caden Robertson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Richland is 2-1 when Robertson posts three or more RBI, but 4-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Urbanek, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Richland has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for West Shamokin, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

As of now, neither Richland nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
