Softball Game Preview: Fremont Silverwolves vs. Uintah Utes

The Fremont Silverwolves will challenge the Uintah Utes at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremont is looking for their season's first victory.

Fremont saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 6-2 to Copper Hills.

Savannah Palmatier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Aly Tobias also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Uintah beat Skyridge 7-2 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Utes.

Lynlee Hall made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Hall was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kynlee Bristol, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in home runs.

Uintah hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyridge struck out 11 times.

Uintah's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
