Soccer Game Preview: Central Woodstock vs. Luray

The Central Woodstock Falcons will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Luray Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Central Woodstock is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Clarke County on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Central Woodstock's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Luray didn't have quite enough to beat Strasburg on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Central Woodstock's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Luray, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 2-2-1.

Central Woodstock beat Luray 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
