Basketball Recap: South Hardin Takes a Loss

If South Hardin was riding high fresh off their 73-48 takedown of Hampton-Dumont/CAL last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The South Hardin Tigers took a 79-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Denver Cyclones. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Cyclones are ranked 42nd).

South Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Denver, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.

Coming up, South Hardin will head out on the road to take on BCLUW at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Hardin is facing BCLUW at the right time seeing as BCLUW is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Denver, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Waterloo Christian at 7:45 p.m. One thing working in Denver's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 matches.
