Basketball Recap: Iola Takes a Loss

Iola was the 65-49 winner over Groesbeck when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Iola Bulldogs received a blow on Friday as they fell 77-62 to the Groesbeck Goats.

Iola's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Groesbeck, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Iola and Normangee will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Normangee will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Iola surely won't give up without a fight. Groesbeck will take on Teague in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th.
