Basketball Recap: King Victorious

King posted their closest win since December 2, 2025 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-62 victory over the Morgan Mustangs.

George (TJ) Daniels produced another solid effort dropping a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high. Brian Theus was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

King was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 12-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

Morgan's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andres Baltazar-Rosa, who posted 17 points. Baltazar-Rosa has become a key player for the Mustangs: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Raiden Burke, who earned 12 points.

King's record now sits at 12-7. As for Morgan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-56 win against Blake on the 20th. As for Morgan, they have also already played their next game, an 84-44 loss against Jesuit on the 17th.
