Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Takes a Loss

Thomas Jefferson lost against Baldwin back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thomas Jefferson Jaguars took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baldwin Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Highlanders are ranked 27th).

Thomas Jefferson has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Baldwin, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Thomas Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Baldwin, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Elizabeth Forward at 7:45 p.m. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Baldwin has won 12 straight at home dating back to last season, while Elizabeth Forward won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
