Basketball Game Preview: Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions vs. Southern Wake Academy Lions + How To Watch

Having just played yesterday, the Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Southern Wake Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Excelsior Classical Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Southern Wake Academy likes a good challenge.

Excelsior Classical Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to The Hawbridge School for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-49 victory. The win continues a trend for the Flying Lions in their matchups with the Herons: they've now won four in a row.

Tyler Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 15 boards. The game was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Francis-Service, who posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Excelsior Classical Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 34 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Southern Wake Academy came up short against Grace Christian on Saturday and fell 63-54.

Southern Wake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
