Basketball Game Preview: East English Village Prep vs. Cody Comets

East English Village Prep are taking a road trip to square off against the Cody Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East English Village Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, East English Village Prep turned things around against Southeastern on Friday. They managed a 62-57 victory over the Jungaleers.

Rayshawn Johnson and Joe Tate were among the main playmakers for East English Village Prep as the former posted 26 points and eight steals and the latter had 19 points and four steals. Tate's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Nunnery, who earned four points.

Meanwhile, Cody had to suffer through a 73-26 loss at the hands of Central. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win got East English Village Prep back to even at 5-5. As for Cody, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

East English Village Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Cody when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 56-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for East English Village Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
