Volleyball Game Preview: Freeman Mavericks vs. Midlothian Trojans

Freeman is 0-3 against Midlothian since November of 2023 but things could change on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m.

Two weeks ago, Freeman came up short against Maggie Walker and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-27, 25-20.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Midlothian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over James River Midlothian on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since September 4th.

Midlothian's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Freeman, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Freeman couldn't quite get it done against Midlothian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
