Robinson is 8-2 against Concord since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Robinson will take on Concord at 6:30 p.m.

Robinson fell victim to East Rowan and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Robinson got a good showing from Noah Johnson, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Johnson gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had over his last six matchups.

At the plate, Robinson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Kluttz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Concord waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spiders have posted since March 26, 2024.

Reed Martin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Concord is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-7 otherwise. Martin was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Concord's record is now 4-8. As for Robinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Robinson beat Concord 7-2 in their previous meeting last Saturday. Will Robinson repeat their success, or does Concord has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
