Basketball Recap: Cornell Takes a Loss

Cornell had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-5 to make it four. They took a blow against the Nazareth Prep Saints, falling 67-35. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

As for Nazareth Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Nazareth Prep found their leader in freshman Ahsan Harrison, who went 13-for-19 en route to 30 points and five boards. Harrison's big performance that evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Frye, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points.

Cornell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-32 defeat against Summit Academy on the 13th. As for Nazareth Prep, they have also already played their next game, a 79-77 victory against Aquinas Academy on the 13th.
