Maple Grove came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 12 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Wayzata Trojans. The Crimson have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Maple Grove was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 27-29, 25-23, 15-13.

Maple Grove was led to victory by Mckinley Hardle and Amanda Swiers. Hardle had 22 digs and five assists, while Swiers had seven digs and four aces. Swiers is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Callie Reed also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Maple Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Maple Grove's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Wayzata, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Maple Grove will square off against Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wayzata, they will challenge Champlin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
