Baseball Game Preview: Community Christian Academy Warriors vs. Alexander Christian Academy Crusaders

The Community Christian Academy Warriors will challenge the Alexander Christian Academy Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Alexander Christian Academy will be up against a hot Community Christian Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Community Christian Academy came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against Piedmont Community Charter.

Cole Richardson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Richardson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Richardson wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Enoch Taylor, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Jayce Martin, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Alexander Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over Gospel Light Christian.

Like Community Christian Academy, Alexander Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Micah Gettler. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Gettler was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI.

In other batting news, Joel Gettler was a standout: he scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Titius Sloan, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
