Underclassman CHLOE Byrd came into Thursday's matchup looking to prove herself and that's exactly what she did. She wasn't messing around on Thursday, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The pitching appearance was her fourth straight with two or fewer hits.
