Soccer Game Preview: Clinton vs. Starkville

Clinton has gone 9-0-1 against Starkville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Arrows will face off against the Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Starkville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Clinton, who comes in off a win.

Clinton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Gulfport, who was ranked 18th at the time (Clinton was ranked third). The Arrows came out on top against the Admirals by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. Clinton's winning goal came courtesy of Alex Holmes.

Meanwhile, Starkville didn't have quite enough to beat Germantown back in December of 2025 and fell 3-2.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 8-2-3. As for Starkville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Everything went Clinton's way against Starkville when the teams last played back in January of 2025, as Clinton made off with a 4-1 victory. Will the Arrows repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
