Soccer Game Preview: Leadership Academy vs. Glenn

The Leadership Academy Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Glenn Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Tuesday, Leadership Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Bethany Community and fell 2-1. Leadership Academy have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to East Forsyth. While losing is never fun, Glenn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while East Forsyth are ranked 84th).

Leadership Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Glenn, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Leadership Academy beat Glenn 2-0 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
