Volleyball Recap: Newsome Has No Trouble Against Lennard + How To Watch

Newsome had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Lennard on Wednesday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Longhorns. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Longhorns: they've now won six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-11.

Newsome can attribute much of their success to Saige Timmerman, who had 15 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Timmerman has posted over her last two matches.

Timmerman wasn't the only good servers: Newsome was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lennard only served three.

Newsome's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Lennard, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Newsome wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Bradenton Christian on the 27th. As for Lennard, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Plant City on the 25th.
