Baseball Recap: Moore County Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Moore County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Hampshire Hawks 8-7 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Colton Morey looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Braden Works and Aiden Webster did most of the damage at the plate: Works scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Webster went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave Works a new career-high.

Moore County's victory bumped their record up to 9-12-1. As for Hampshire, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-5.

Moore County has already played their next contest (against Central Magnet), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hampshire, they have also already played their next match, a 15-5 win against Santa Fe on the 14th.
