            Softball Recap: Lehman Lobos vs. Lockhart Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Lehman was the  7-5 winner over Lockhart when they last played one another  back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Lehman fell just short of Lockhart by a score of  7-6 on Tuesday. The Lobos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Marie Donahue put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with one  triple and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  she  hit this season.
 Donahue wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Malayla Gabriel, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  Gabriel a new career-high in  doubles (two).  Isabella Ramirez was another,  going 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Lehman  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least ten  hits in three consecutive  matchups.
Lehman's record is now 8-12-1. As for Lockhart, their win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-12.
 Looking ahead, Lehman will welcome Cedar Park  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lehman is facing Cedar Park at the right time seeing as Cedar Park is stuck on  a  12-game losing streak. As for Lockhart, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Glenn  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Lockhart's pitchers better be ready for this one: Glenn has averaged an impressive 6.5  runs per game this season.
