Daniel came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Pendleton Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Lions not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 31, 2024 (when they won 3-0).
Daniel walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-20.
Zara Russell paced Daniel's offense, picking up 18 kills. Russell got some help from Lydia Chasteen and her 35 assists. Ava Ross controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Daniel's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Pendleton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Looking ahead, Daniel will challenge Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pendleton, they will head out to face off against Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
