Soccer Recap: Clovis East Find Success

Clovis East's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Torres Toros, sneaking past 2-1.

David Kabamba and Noah Naranjo scored both of Clovis East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Clovis East's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Torres, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clovis East will take on Dinuba in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dinuba's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Torres and Clovis West will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Torres is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
