Volleyball Recap: South Rowan Raiders vs. West Rowan Falcons
South Rowan proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the West Rowan Falcons 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won four in a row.
South Rowan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 15-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 15-11.

South Rowan had a senior duo take command as Raegan Shell had 23 assists and 13 digs and Campbell Withers had 24 digs and one assist. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Shell.
Despite the loss, West Rowan still got an impressive performance from Brinley Hiatt, who had 25 assists and 20 digs. Hiatt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Costantino, who had 15 assists and five digs.
South Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for West Rowan, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4.
South Rowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against East Rowan on the 4th. As for West Rowan, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Northwest Cabarrus on the 4th.
