Baseball Recap: Atoka Comes Up Short

Atoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rock Creek Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wampus Cats of the 15-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Atoka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Rock Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season.

Atoka will head out to square off against Savanna at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wampus Cats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Rock Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-4 loss against Caney on the 8th.
