If Rocky Mountain Prep SMART wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bruce Randolph, they should've done a better job of containing Charles Huff. The Bruce Randolph Grizzlies enjoyed a cozy 67-48 win over the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls on Friday thanks to Huff, who went 9-for-18 on his way to 29 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Jamal Balde was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

Several Ocelotls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmanuel Rodriguez-Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Rodriguez-Gonzalez is becoming a predictor of Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's success: when he posts at least ten rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 2-15 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Xavier Galvan, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.

Bruce Randolph's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Bruce Randolph has already played their next match, a 65-46 win against Montbello on the 18th. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-52 victory against Lincoln on the 18th.
