Woodbridge hasn't had much luck against Indian River recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Raiders will face off against the Indians at 4:15 p.m. Woodbridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.

Woodbridge easily dispatched Dover on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Raiders fell just short of Sussex Tech by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since April 25, 2024.

Kalli Chelton and Kimora Harris stepped up to the plate in a big way. Chelton went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Harris scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Joslyn Gates also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Indian River suffered their biggest defeat since April 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Cape Henlopen, falling 13-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Indians' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2. As for Woodbridge, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-2.

Indian River's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Woodbridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .532. It's a different story for Indian River, though, as they've only averaged .353. Will they be able to contain Woodbridge's hitters?

Woodbridge couldn't quite get it done against Indian River in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
