Baseball Recap: Katella Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Katella won the last time they faced Buena Park and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Knights walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Coyotes.

Anthony Garcia looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Andrew Ureno was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Alejandro Tinoco also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Katella is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Buena Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Katella will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Coyotes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
