Softball Recap: Reeltown Wins Going Away Against Loachapoka

Reeltown never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Loachapoka Indians 18-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-0 last Monday.

Reeltown let Kira Chappell and Lilli Johnston run wild. Chappell went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Johnston went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Johnston a new career-high. Crisdan Dunn was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Reeltown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Reeltown's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Loachapoka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Reeltown will welcome Handley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Loachapoka, they will head out on the road to challenge Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
