South Brunswick put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hoggard Vikings a 2-0 shutout. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

The result came thanks to Kina Davis's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024.

South Brunswick pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hoggard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

South Brunswick wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-0 win against Laney on the 14th. As for Hoggard, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-7 victory against North Brunswick on the 14th.
