Baseball Recap: Midland Classical Academy Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Midland Classical Academy got themselves on the board against Monahans on Friday, but Monahans never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Monahans Loboes with a sharp 9-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Henry Friez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Levi Bayley was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Noah Clayton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Midland Classical Academy pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Monahans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
