Baseball Recap: Forest Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Forest took on Quitman on Friday. Forest fell just short of Quitman by a score of 9-8. The Bearcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 11-7.

Anias Patterson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Forest has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. Quitman now has a winning record of 9-8.

Forest has already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against Meridian on the 22nd. As for Quitman, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-9 win against Vicksburg on the 22nd.
