Redondo Union won the last time they faced Peninsula and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Sea Hawks came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 10-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sea Hawks.
Bailey Murray looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 17 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaya Aguirre, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Bizub, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
Redondo Union hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Peninsula struck out ten times.
Redondo Union's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Peninsula, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Redondo Union will host Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Peninsula, they will be playing at home against Palos Verdes at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Sea Kings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
