Softball Recap: Discovery Titans vs. Central Gwinnett Black Knights
Discovery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 20-8 to the Central Gwinnett Black Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly 12 runs.
Kendall Cross was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Bradley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Discovery was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Discovery's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Central Gwinnett, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.
Discovery will welcome Cedar Shoals at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Gwinnett, they will head out to square off against Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
