Linton-Stockton is 9-1 against Shakamak since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Miners will head out to challenge the Lakers at 12:00 p.m. Linton-Stockton's hitters haven't had much luck over their past seven matches, but Saturday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Linton-Stockton fell victim to Barr-Reeve and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the Vikings.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shakamak). Everything went their way against Loogootee on Friday as they made off with a 13-5 win. The Lakers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 12-0).

The victory got Shakamak back to even at 6-6. As for Linton-Stockton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Linton-Stockton couldn't quite get it done against Shakamak when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Miners avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
