Preview: Boulder Panthers vs. Westminster Wolves
Boulder is 5-0 against Westminster since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Boulder Panthers will be staying on the road to face off against the Westminster Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully Boulder focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday.
On Saturday, Boulder came up short against Rocky Mountain and fell 55-46. Boulder has not had much luck with Rocky Mountain recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kyle Blauch, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Bruce Matthews was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Westminster lost to Eagle Ridge Academy on the road by a decisive 54-37 margin last Saturday.
Boulder has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Westminster, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Everything came up roses for Boulder against Westminster in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 60-33 win. With Boulder ahead 33-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
