Basketball Recap: Classical Comes Up Short

Classical's game on Wednesday was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tolman/Shea. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Purple this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-41 back in December of 2024.

Classical dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tolman/Shea, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Classical will take on Ponaganset at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponaganset will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Classical surely won't give up without a fight. Tolman/Shea has already played their next matchup (against Chariho), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
