Soccer Recap: Bishop's Takes a Loss

Bishop managed to keep up with Pacific Ridge until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bishop's Knights came up short against the Pacific Ridge Firebirds, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 640th, while the Firebirds are ranked 167th).

Bishop's has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-1 record this season. As for Pacific Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop's has already played their next game (against La Jolla Country Day), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pacific Ridge has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Maranatha Christian.
