Baseball Game Preview: Augusta Panthers vs. Robertson County Black Devils

Augusta and Robertson County are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Black Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Augusta's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while Robertson County has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road.

On Saturday, Augusta came up short against Owen County and fell 11-6.

Maddox Hesler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Kiskaden, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Robertson County's offense. They lost 18-0 to Buckhorn on Saturday.

Robertson County's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Everything went Augusta's way against Robertson County in their previous meeting last Thursday, as Augusta made off with a 15-0 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Black Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
