Softball Recap: Livermore's Run of Three Straight Wins Now Over

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Livermore was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitney Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2016.

Laine Macosky was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

With the loss, Livermore broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4. As for Whitney, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Livermore has already played their next contest, an 8-3 win against Sheldon on the 12th. As for Whitney, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-1 victory against Liberty on the 12th.
