Basketball Game Preview: Caledonia-Mumford Raiders vs. Hornell Red Raiders

The Caledonia-Mumford Raiders will take on the Hornell Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caledonia-Mumford is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

On Saturday, Caledonia-Mumford was able to grind out a solid victory over Le Roy, taking the game 39-28.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hornell, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Dansville 69-40 on Friday. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Hornell's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Caledonia-Mumford, their record is now 6-1.

Caledonia-Mumford took a serious blow against Hornell in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 78-40. Can Caledonia-Mumford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
