Softball Recap: Roane County Beats Sweetwater for Their 12th Straight Win

Roane County put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Sweetwater Wildcats by a score of 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 last Tuesday.

The result came thanks to Sailor Presley's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 18 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Roane County's victory was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mylah Dryman, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Roane County's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Sweetwater, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-3 record this season.
