Daviess County came tearing into Monday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Owensboro Red Devils a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won 22 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Daviess County's victory bumped their record up to 31-3-1. As for Owensboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-30.
