Soccer Recap: Sparks Takes a Loss

Sparks lost against South Tahoe back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Railroaders lost 14-0 to the Vikings. While losing is never fun, Sparks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 74th in Nevada, while South Tahoe are ranked 20th in California).

Sparks' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for South Tahoe, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3-2.

Coincidentally, Sparks and South Tahoe will both be playing Incline the next time they take the pitch. The Railroaders will head out to face the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Vikings will host them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
