Volleyball Recap: Seneca East Comes Up Short

After flying high against Vermilion on Tuesday, Seneca East came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Van Buren Black Knights on Thursday.

While Seneca East ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Seneca East still got an impressive performance from Paige Strawser, who had 24 assists and ten digs.

Seneca East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Van Buren, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Seneca East will take on Colonel Crawford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Van Buren, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Old Fort on the 23rd.
