Volleyball Recap: Seneca East Takes a Loss

After flying high against Vermilion on Tuesday, Seneca East came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Van Buren Black Knights on Thursday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Van Buren scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 22-25, 25-17, 25-22.

Seneca East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Van Buren, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Seneca East will host Colonel Crawford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van Buren, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Old Fort at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
