Volleyball Recap: Corbin Redhounds vs. Bryan Station Defenders
If Corbin was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Madison Southern on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redhounds fell just short of the Bryan Station Defenders by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Redhounds were not able to make up for their loss to the Defenders from their previous meeting back in September of 2020.
Corbin couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Bryan Station a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-32, 25-18, 25-10.
Leading Bryan Station to victory were Lily Howard and Cameron Owens. Howard had 16 digs, while Owens had 20 kills, 15 digs, and two blocks. Owens has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 70 times she's played.
Corbin's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 21-12. As for Bryan Station, the victory got them back to even at 17-17.
Corbin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Madison Central on the 18th. Bryan Station does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
