Basketball Recap: Argenta-Oreana's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Argenta-Oreana's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-47 win over the Mt. Olive Wildcats. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bombers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Argenta-Oreana's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxon Finch led the charge by shooting 56% from the field en route to 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Logue, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points and four steals.

Argenta-Oreana smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They are 2-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Argenta-Oreana's record is now 2-5. As for Mt. Olive, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Argenta-Oreana will be taking part in a tournament against Central A & M at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Olive, they will head out to square off against Calvary at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
