Softball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty extended their losing streak to eight on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-13 in the process. They came up short against the Sherwood Bowmen, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bowmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-3 back in April.

As for Sherwood, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Sherwood's part, they got a massive performance out of Daisha Cornwell, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Wright, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Coming up, Liberty will face off against McNary at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sherwood, they will take on Century at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
